We were saddened to hear of Mr. Overton's passing. He was a fixture at the corner bus stop and will be missed. He always had a kind word for all the kids and my youngest specifically remembers him calling her Princess every morning we saw him. Our hearts are heavy, but also rejoicing that Al has a new body and new life. We will continue to pray for all the family.

When I came to the Census in March,2009, Al welcomed me to his training class with his wonderful smile and warm personality. He brightened every day and I enjoyed his company very much. I am still at the Census and I wish he were, too. God bless each of you at this time.

Al & I were going thru Chemo together at the Cancer Center. Good looking guy as well as his dad. I told him he got his good looks fm his dad. Al was the nicest guy you could meet. We were both veterans of the service. He was always up beat, and always made me feel good having Lung Cancer. Fortunately for me, I'm Cancer Free, and I wanted him to know that, but never saw him since being discharged fm the Cancer Center. I truly felt he'd beat his Cancer as well with his optimism. My sincerest condolences to his wife, and his dad (whom I had the pleasure of meeting). He was too young to die fm this deadly desease. He'll be sadly missed. Dave Raisley, Summerville, SC

Treeka, Mykalay, MyKenzie,
I remember how Al could always make me laugh anytime we would run into each other on Tyndall AFB. He and I both played basketball together and actually won the championship that year, which would have never happened without Big "O". My wife Patrice used to do Treeka and the girls hair at her shop so we were deeply saddened to hear of Al's Passing. Our prayers are with you and your family. May the Lord comfort you during your time of sorrow. Lorrenzo "Zo" & Patrice Martin, Panama City Fl.

I had the pleasure to work with Al for many years at Tyndall Air Force Base Florida. He was the most pleasant and best dressed Air Force member I have ever met in my career. He knew his job and helped many people. May God take care of him.
