Barbara Ann Locke, daughter of James and Albertha Locke, was born in March 25, 1944 in Summerville, South Carolina.  Barbara was one of seven children (four brothers and two sisters).  She was granted peace from her suffering and departed this life at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC

Barbara grew up in Summerville, South Carolina and graduated from Alston High School in Dorchester County.  Barbara was always a quiet, pleasant person.  She spoke well of everyone.  Barbara enjoyed inquiring about people she knew, or even met briefly, years ago.  She was known to have an excellent memory.

Barbara was a faithful member of Brownsville Community Church of God in Summerville, SC throughout her early years.  Due to illness in her latter years, she only attended occasionally.  Frequently, she attended the churches near her residence.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memories: two brothers, Winfred Locke of North Charleston, SC, and Bernard Locke of Stone Mountain, GA; two sisters, Helen Greene of St. Albans, NY, and Cassandra Walker of Rialto, CA; one brother-in-law, Edward Greene of St. Albans, NY; one aunt, Essie Cummings of Summerville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and friends.
