Obituary  Send Flowers  Condolences  Photographs

On Friday, January 22, 2010 at 3:35 pm, our loving father departed from this earth for a better place.  His presence will never be replaces, but we know that he will always be in our hearts as long as we live.  God just takes back his loves ones unto himself, after they have wrought such beautiful patterns during their sojourn here.

Father Horace Sanders was born December 25, 1921 in Ridgeville, South Carolina to the late Frank and Rugenia Sanders.  He grew up in a loving home.  His sisters and brothers were taught to work hard together as a family.  He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.  He was employed with the Longshoreman Port Authority of Charleston, SC and also a farmer for years.

He was married to the late Ida Mae White Sanders and to this union (9) nine children were born, one daughter Faye Sanders preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children Frank Sanders (Sylvia), George Sanders (Thelma), Gussie Mungin (Horace), Claudell Hall, Pastor Flossie Moore (Apostle Henry), Rudolph Sanders, Charles Sanders, and Jean Hamilton (Truman); two sisters Albertha Williams and Lizzie Williams.  Father also leaves to cherish his memories a host of 23 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
