Mother Mable Frayer Williams, 87 years old, the daughter of the late Eugene Frayer and Henrietta Richardson, was born on March 9, 1922 in Cordesville, South Carolina. She was educated in the public schools in Berkeley County.
On Saturday morning, January 30, 2010 God called his faithful servant home.
Mother Williams was a devoted member of St. Luke Reformed Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina, Greater Harvest Church of God in Christ in Long Beach, California and later became a faithful member of Mt. Sinai Holiness Church of Deliverance in Charleston, South Carolina. Mother Williams served and was active on church during her life. She was an usher, member of the church choir, Sunday School and also a member of the Mother’s Board.
Mother Williams was a faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandfather and friend. Her love of and dedication to her family, her church, and her friends was the center of everything that she did.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years John Williams, Sr. She is survived by one daughter Joan (Frank) Prioleau of Summerville, South Carolina; two sons, Allen (Teresa Johnson) of Rochester, New York and John El-Amin of North Charleston, South Carolina, nine grandchildren; Angela Williams, Saudi Williams, John Williams III, Gideon (Hassana) Brown, Jr., Fekerte (Damien) Green, Akiliah G. (Marcus) McKelvey, Allen K. Williams II, Elliot Williams and Frank Prioleau, Jr.; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Moore of Salters, South Carolina; and a host of siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory forever.
