Evangelist Frances L. Palmer, was born on January 5, 1933, in Ridgeville, SC, she departed to be with the Lord on February 15, 2024. She was the cherished fourth child of the late Archie and Bertha Adams. Frances was united in marriage to the late Henry M. Palmer and began a journey that spanned a lifetime of love and devotion.
After completing her education in Dorchester County, Ridgeville, SC, Evang. Frances Palmer embarked on her next chapter in New York City. It was there that she spent much of her life, crafting a legacy of compassion, service, and faith. In her later years, she divided her time between Brooklyn, New York, and the serene landscapes of Miami, FL during her well-deserved retirement.
A beacon of encouragement and a devoted friend, Frances Palmer's heart was as expansive as her accomplishments. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and earned a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies from the Community Bible Institute, a testament to her commitment to her faith and continuous learning.
For three decades, Frances served at NYU Langone Hospital, touching the lives of countless individuals with her healing hands and caring spirit. Her commitment to service extended beyond the hospital walls, as she became an integral part of Brownsville Community Baptist Church (BCBC) in Brooklyn, NY, for over 60 years. During her time in Miami, Florida she also served as a faithful member of the New Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, were she served actively in her role as an Evangelist.
Within the BCBC congregation, Frances embraced various roles, including President of the Deaconess Board, Sunday School and Bible School teacher, instructor of new members classes, and active participation in groups such as the Willing Workers and Hospitality committees. However, it was in her role as an Evangelist that she truly found her calling, spreading the good news and gospel of Jesus Christ far and wide.
May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire and uplift those who knew and loved her.
