Earline Mazyck McMichael Rishbur's journey began on October 3, 1931 in Berkeley County, SC to the late Dennis and Rebecca Smith Mazyck. On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, she entered into eternal peace at her home in Summerville, SC. Earline received her education in Dorchester County public school system. Later in life, she completed her certification in Physical and Occupational Therapies and began providing in-home care for residents at White Oak Rehabilitation Center. She was a ray of sunshine to all that she assisted. She selflessly devoted her time as a volunteer worker for Meals on Wheels where she received several Certificates of Recognition. Earline dedicated her life to Christ at an early age. She was a lifelong member of New Ashley Baptist Church where she faithfully served on the Senior Choir and the Missionary Board. Earline was a dedicated wife and mother who loved and cared for her children and family. She was known for her sophisticated sense of fashion and many stylish hats. She was well-respected and loved by all that knew her. Many of the younger generations in the community referred to her as "Mom". On any given day, you would see her enjoy her passion for flowers and gardening which could be seen in her immaculate yard. When she wasn't working in her yard, she would be sitting in her rocking chair speaking to all who passed her house. Earline was united in holy matrimony to the late Eugene McMichael. To this union, five children were born. One child preceded her in death, George D. McMichael. After the death of Eugene in 1970, she later met and
married Dan Rishbur, who preceded her in death in 2003. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Helen Mazyck, Frank Mazyck, Sophie Mazyck Gibbs, William Mazyck, Edward Mazyck and Theresa Mazyck Sampson. Those remaining to cherish her memories and continue her legacy are her children, Charles G. McMichael (Goldie), Carolyn Goodwine, Clifford McMichael and Glenda McMichael-Hawkins (Patrick); daughter-in-law Perneatha McMichael; eight grandchildren Letitia Roberts, Jason McMichael (Yolanda), Chris Goodwine, Jeremy McMichael (Katrina), Nathaniel McMichael (Ashlee), Marcus Goodwine, Prudence "PJ" McMichael and Jayme McMichael; two stepchildren Patrick Hawkins, Jr. and Calise Hawkins; 16 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
"Only a moment you stayed, but what an imprint your footprints have left on our hearts."
