Angelus M. Barcus, daughter of the late Ezeikel and Annie Middleton was born in Summerville, South Carolina on August 3, 1934.

As a member of St Luke AME Church, Angelus served in many offices and capacities over the years including Missionary Society president, Class Leader, member of Steward Board, Member of Trustee Board, Christian Education Leader and choir member.  She also served as an active member in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc and New Eden Chapter 204 of the Eastern Star where she held the office of Worthy Matron.

On February 18, 2021 Angelus Middleton Barcus entered into eternal rest.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Leroy Barcus, Sisters Altowease (William, deceased) Simmons, Victoria (Wendell, deceased) Sumter and brother Oliver (Barbara, deceased) Middleton, God daughter Ashley Simmons, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
