Obituary

Anthony L. Pinckney, the son of the late Alonzo Sr. and Gloria Pinckney was born on January 4, 1962, in Summerville, SC. On Sunday, November 6, 2022, he entered into eternal rest. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline R. Pinckney, sons, Justin (Alishia), and Jeremy, his brothers Alonzo Jr. (Agnes), Alfred, a special aunt, Shirley C. Cordes, and other family members. At an early age, he joined Central Missionary Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Summerville High School class of 1980. He served in the U.S. Army from 1980 to 1984. After serving in the military, he was employed with Summerville Commissioner of Public Works as a Meter Reader Supervisor from which he retired in 2017. He was very active in his community where he served as a coach for Sertoma Football League and as a both a coach and commissioner of the Carolina Youth Baseball League. He will be remembered for his work ethic, dedication to community service, friendships, and the way he loved his family especially his wife Jackie. Anthony leaves to cherish his loving memories: his beloved wife, sons, brothers, and a host of in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
