IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anton R
Bloedoorn
April 29, 1951 – August 7, 2024
Anton R. Bloedoorn was born April 29th, 1951, in Bronx NY to Herman and Mildred Bloedoorn. After completing Job Core, he enlisted in the USAF. He would dedicate 21 years to this service and retired with honors.
During his active-duty service, he served as an Aircraft Mechanic at numerous Air Force Bases through the country and at Utapho AFB in Thailand, during the View Nam War. Anton achieved the rank of Master Sergent with the position of First Sergent. He Met and Married Annie N Pickett on October 27th, 1971.
Following his retirement from the Military, Anton worked at Getrage in Charleston SC as a supervisor and retired early due to health challenges.
Anton loved and adored his children but as the grandchildren arrived, well, he had a new appreciation for the word love. He looked forward to spending time with them and showered them with gifts, love and affection. As far as he was concerned, the sun rose and set on his grandchildren.
In his youth he was an exceptional basketball player and continued to adore that sport in his retirement. Anton was witty, gregarious, loved to laugh and loved to make you laugh.
Proceeding him in death are his parents, his sister Sharon Bloedoorn-Jones, and his first- born son David Bloedoorn. Anton leaves to mourn Annie N. Bloedoorn, two sons, Aasen A. Bloedoorn and Austin A. Bloedoorn, Priscilla Adjei-Bloedoorn, his daughter in-law, four grandchildren, Naima A. Bloedoorn, Eli A. Bloedoorn, Aaven A. Bloedoorn and Ashton Bloedoorn. Kira Jones- his niece, Stephen Bloedoorn, his brother, and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
On behalf of the family, we encourage you to share your personal experiences and preserve the memory of Mr. Anton Bloedoorn for future generations to come.
