Daisy J. Walker, 86, of James Island, South Carolina peacefully completed her earthly journey on Monday, November 24, 2025, from the comfort of her home surrounded by her son, Donell. She was born on October 19, 1939, in James Island, South Carolina, to the late Wilson Jackson and Susie Chisolm Jackson.

Daisy attended James island public schools in South Carolina. As a devoted single mother, Daisy was determined to create stability for her family. She raised her children and grandchildren and was a hard worker. She was honest, outspoken, and never afraid to tell you exactly how she felt. With Daisy, you always knew where she stood.

Affectionately known as "Daisy Duke," Daisy loved God and professed her faith in Christ at an early age while attending church at Emmanuel Baptist Church in James Island in which she followed and remained there until her passing. She especially enjoyed singing old hymns, laughing and joking, attending services until sickness prevented her from doing so, and, of course, cooking and helping for any function.

Daisy was preceded in death by her afore mentioned parents, and son, James Walker.

Daisy will be missed and remembered by her two daughters: Blondell Welles and Annette Chatfield, both of New York; sons, Terry Walker and Donell Walker of South Carolina; grandchildren, James Jr., LaKeisha, Shannette, Harold Jr., Makayla, and Niyah; twelve great grandchildren, niece/sister Deloris P. Murray of Bronx, NY; one son in law, Anthony Rogers of Bronx, NY, and devoted cousin, Ronata German-Turner, and a host of other relatives and friends.
