Douglas "Calvin" Landers was born to Douglas Sr. and Margaret Landers on April 18, 1960, in Indianapolis, IN. While attending Indiana University-Purdue University Indiana (IUPUI) he pledged Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated. He then attended Purdue University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Calvin passed away on August 3, 2023 in Summerville, South Carolina. Though faced with health challenges he had an optimistic approach to life. Calvin retired in 2021 and loved spending his off time meeting others. He was an active member at Cathedral of Praise Church and also volunteered his time with Ashley Ridge Church. He was the president of his Home Owners Association (HOA) at the River Birch Subdivision. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Calvin. He loved being around his family and friends. He was a social type of guy. His pleasant personality was contagious to everyone he met. Calvin is survived by his wife Denise of 34 years; three sons, Devin-daughter in law (Sue-Anne), Bryce and Corbin; a sister, Michelle; a brother, Mark; father in law, Dennis; mother in laws, Mary and Dorothy; sister in-laws Sharlise and Kiya and many nieces, nephews, cousins, many close friends and his best friend his dog "Harley" ..
