Gerard Anthony Best Jr. was born Thursday, July 28, 1994, in Queens NY to the late Tamika Cromwell and Gerard Anthony Best Sr.

He attended the public schools of New York and South Carolina.

He was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, creating lasting memories through shared experiences and meaningful time together. His warm smile could brighten any room, and his presence brought comfort and joy to everyone around him. He will be forever remembered for his strength, compassion, generosity, respect, unwavering love, and unmistakable sense of style. His remarkable spirit and the way he carried himself will never be forgotten, and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his mother; paternal grandparents Garnette Best and Alfonzo Fisher; maternal grandparents Diane and Horace Cromwell.

He is survived by his partner Takalia Tate, four beautiful children Mason Best, Kingston Best, Ava Best, Amelia Best; his father Gerard Anthony Best Sr.; two sisters Chulon Best and Shanygne Best (Bruce Rumph Jr.); brothers Tayvon Best and Mateik Best (Kiovanni Stjuste); aunts Chavon Cromwell (Ernie Taylor), Theresa Cromwell (Arnold Taylor), and Towana Davis Harris; uncles Lamont Best and Remy Fisher; a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
