It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Jacqueline Blakeney of Ladson, SC, who entered into eternal rest on December 25, 2020.  Just like a breath of fresh air…on a beautiful spring day…The late Franklin Leroy Ackerman and Fannie Mae Copeland Ackerman was blessed with another baby girl. Adding to their growing family, Jacqueline Ackerman was born on April 29, 1944 in Williams, South Carolina. Certainly, the family knew Jacqueline was a blessed child as the story is often told within the family of how the family's home caught fire and Baby Jacqueline miraculously made her way out of her crib and crawled out of the home without a scratch. Many treasured memories will be cherished by her children, Roy Blakeney, Jr. (Andrea), Tammie Emanuel-Briggman (Darbis), Christopher Blakeney, James Blakeney (Jakia); grandchildren, Sean Emanuel, Christopher Emanuel, James Blakeney, Keri Emanuel, Maria Cuttino, Shauna Brown, Arcino Brown, Jonathn McKnight, Breana Turner, Rodney Briggman, Chavone Johnson, Stephen Dantzler, Brittany Dantzler, Shadaisha Dantzler, Jakala Dantzler; a host of great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert Ackerman, Shirley Brown (EJ) and Oscar Ackerman (Sharleen); In-laws, Mary Joann Ackerman-Dubois, Gloria Bright-Blakeney, Margaret Blakeney, Alvin Blakeney, Elder William Blakeney, Gilbert Blakeney and Hiram E. Davis; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends.
