Obituary

JULIETTE ALICIA TRAPPIER, affectionately known as CANDY, was born to the late Bertie Adams and Edward Lee Word on February 15, 1963 in Bronx, New York. She was also reared by her late grandparents, John Henry and Julia Hampton.

God dispatched an angel from Heaven to take Candy home the afternoon of March 22, 2020 from the comfort of her home in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her daughter Denaje Faith Trappier and her son Israel Jermal Trappier.

Candy was educated in the public school systems of Bronx, NY and Dorchester County. She was very gifted and talented in her studies. She earned her high school diploma from Summerville High School in 1981.

She attended Liberty Hill Christian Church from an early age and served on various committees.

She was joined in holy matrimony to Dale Trappier on February 25, 1980 and into this union, five children were born.

Candy was a very sweet natured, kind hearted, dependable, family oriented, loving person. She never met a stranger and had a smile that would brighten any day. She loved cooking for everyone and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.

Candy was employed at Piggly Wiggly as a Deli Manger for over 20 years until her health began to fail.

Candy's memories will be treasured by her husband, Dale Trappier; her loving mother figure and aunt, Alice Bannister of Ridgeville SC; her son, Antonio (Tiesha) Trappier Sr of Summerville, SC; her daughters, Bernadette (Jarrett) Lampkin of Ridgeville SC and Latoya Sheniek Trappier of Moncks Corner, SC; her loving brother, Gregory (Jackie) Word of San Diego, CA; her grandchildren, Toneyae Trappier, Tiauna Williams, Nataiva Trappier, Antonio Trappier Jr, Braylin Trappier, Jauri Lampkin, Julia Trappier, Zyaunnah Campbell, and Lorenzo Robinson; sisters-in-law, Leona Trappier, Queen Trappier, Agilda  (Desmond) Bennett, and Garnette (Walter) Anderson ; brothers-in-law, Andrew Ladson, Bobby (Michelle) Trappier , and Dewey (Alfrieda) Trappier ; a special cousin, Brenda Gordon; her close friends, Kim Scott, Tippy Quattlebaum, and Phyllis Glover, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
