Leon Amark Cook was born to the late Benjamin and Daisy Mae Cook, Sr. on July 10, 1943. Leon attended the public schools of Dorchester County. To provide for himself, Leon started and mastered his career as a Diesel Mechanic. He was known as "Lee" to his family and friends and to know him, simply was just to love him. On December 5, 2021, as he transitioned from Summerville Medical Hospital, he was greeted by those who have longed to see him once more, his parents, Benjamin Sr. and Daisy; his siblings, Gloria Pinckney (Alonzo), Allen Cook (Mary), Diane (Levi) Williams and Carol Cook. Those left to cherish Leon's memories here on earth, his wife Cynthia Cook; his children, Lavern Cook, Isaiah Drayton, Diuna Horry, and Dshaunda Derico; his siblings, Shirley (David) Cordes, Ernest (Florine) Cook, Dottie (Tim) Lincoln, Susan Cook, and Alleen (Jonathan) Raimey, Jenny (Hurkey) Smalls; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will truly miss his spirits.
