Leonard Mazyck was born on December 18, 1955 to the late Sinclair and Leola Mazyck. He was a devoted man of faith, family, and hard work . He peacefully entered eternal rest on April 27, 2025, at the age of 69.Leonard spent his life in Summerville, South Carolina. He attended public schools in Summerville, where he built the foundation for a life marked by dedication and humility. On April 10, 2004, he married Debroah Ann Smalls Fermer Mazyck and was a loving and devoted husband to her until her passing.Leonard worked for many years at Berlin G. Myers Lumber Company, earning a reputation as a diligent and dependable worker. After a long and respected career, he retired.Leonard's greatest joy was found in his Christian faith. He was a proud member of Brownsville Community Church of God and Wesley United Methodist Church. He loved singing in the choir, where his deep, soulful voice uplifted congregations and gave glory to God. Whether leading solos or harmonizing with others, Leonard sang not just with talent, but with heartfelt devotion.Leonard was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three uncles, and three aunts.He leaves to cherish his memory: his siblings; Earmaine Mazyck of Summerville, SC; Sinclair Sylvester Mazyck, Jr. of Summerville, SC; Charmaine Mazyck of Virginia Beach, VA; Carolyn (Justin) Mayshack, and Katieba (Keir) Strand, Virginia Beach, VA., and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Leonard's presence, voice, and steady spirit will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
