Obituary

Lorine C. Kennerly born to  devoted and loving parents of John and Susanna C Cleveland on July 6,1934 in St. Stephens , S.C.  After years of independent living, her husband preceding her in death, she was called home to be among the stars and angels in heaven on February 23,2023. In her early years she developed a caring and nurturing personality. She was responsible to help raise her younger sibling while her parents provided for the financial responsibility. This personality acquired at a young age helped and guide her throughout her life. On April 4, 1953 she married the love of her life Johnnie Kennerly. She was a devoted and committed wife of 56 years. She toured the world and country as her late husband serviced his country in the US Army. This union conceived five children and raised a grandson as their own. When her husband ended his military career they settled in Miami, Florida.  Lorine started her career with Miami Dade Schools for 15 years. During these years she doubled her devotion to her family and God.  Providing encouragement to her husband and committed to the upbringing of her children. Attending  St.  John Baptist church as a member in South Miami Florida she is devoted to God. Through daily and nightly prayer she encouraged her family, friends and strangers in the word of faith. Following retirement she and her husband returned to their root and moved from Miami, Florida  to Summerville, S.C. to enjoy many years of family holidays, birthdays and worship. Lorine Kennerly on February 23, 2023 has left us to be with Our Heavenly Father, beloved husband Johnnie Kennerly, daughters Delores Byrd and Mary Mulder. Surviving to treasure the memories are her three sons: Johnnie Jr. (wife Remilda) Kennerly, Stefan (wife Lynnette) Kennerly, Rickey Kennerly, grandson Issiah Byrd (wife Niki) raised as a fourth son, eleven grandchildren, eight grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
