Major Ernest Samuel Moultrie (Ret.), born May 5, 1932, a respected law enforcement officer and dedicated public servant, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026.
Major Moultrie served the citizens of Dorchester County with distinction and honor throughout his career, leaving behind a legacy of commitment, integrity, and service.
A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Brownsville Community Church Of God 920 W. 1st N. St. Summerville, SC 29483 from 04:00pm to 05:00 pm, followed by a wake from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 29,2026 at New Bethel Sounds Of Praise, 351 Greyback Rd., Summerville, SC 29483, 11:00 am.
Burial with full honors will follow at Brownsville Cemetery.
