Melanie Ann Bowman was born May 8, 1985 to Deborah and Larry Fairbanks at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. She departed this life early Saturday morning, March 25, 2017. Melanie, affectionately called "scooter" by her beloved grandmother was educated in the Berkeley County school system, where she graduated from Stratford High School in 2003.

Melanie had a love for fashion (Pink by Victoria Secret), shoes, shopping and taking afternoon naps. One of her favorite pastimes, was bathing in the sun, working on that beautiful tan.

On Saturday morning, you would find Melanie, early along with Eric and her grandmother-in-law, Carrie off on yard sale adventures, ending up with most of the good deals and Starbucks was must on their Saturday journey.

Melanie was employed by T-Mobile Call Center on Daniel Island for 4 years and late became employed at Seller's Pest Control.

In 2010, Melanie met the love of her life, Eric Sellers, Jr. and this union was blessed with three sons and one daughter. Family is family, whether it's one that you start out with, the one you end up with or the one that you gain along the way. This blended family of the Fairbanks, Murray's, Grahams and Seller's will never be the same after such a tragic loss, but through love will be maintained.

Melanie will sorely and deeply be missed by her beloved companion and partner, Eric Sellers, Jr.; her heartstrings Marshall Graham, Dylan Sellers and Matthew Sellers, Mommy's girl Aubrayana Goggans; her beloved parents Deborah and Larry Fairbanks; best friend and sister Amy Blake Murray (John); beloved grandparents Kathy and Dewitt Fairbanks, Dana and Dick Fisher and John Disher; her favorite niece and nephew Haley Murray and Tyler Blake; father-in-law Eric Sellers, Sr. (Kelly Rutledge); mother-in-law Regina Burns (James); lifelong friend Jeremy Graham and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins friends and blended family members.

Melanie was preceded in death by one nephew Jon Edward Blake and stepson Eric "Poodah" Sellers III.
