Patricia (Pat) Simpson passed away in her home on Monday, November 4 th after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her three children, Whitney Simpson of Goose Creek, South Carolina; Scott Simpson (Hannah) of Georgetown, South Carolina; Courtney Simpson (Rachel) of Goose Creek, SC; and grandchildren Journee Brown- Simpson, Channing Simpson, and Remington Simpson .Pat was born to the late Robert and Annabelle Deas on September 28 th , 1941, in Charleston, SC. During her childhood the family moved to New York City. She spent her career as a registered nurse at Roper Hospital, the North Charleston Convalescent Center, and the Berkeley County Mental Health Center, where she formed many lifelong friendships. She was a devoted mother who worked tirelessly to provide for her children. Her 3 grandchildren were her joy and delight. Her commitment extended to the where she volunteered at My Sister's House women's shelter, Meals on Wheels, and served in numerous civic roles such as Cub Scout assistant den leader, nursing ministry at Mt. Moriah, and bowling team captain while at NCCC. Pat thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and always looked forward to attending Thanksgiving, her favorite holiday. She was tenacious, opinionated, and loved spirited conversation about politics and basketball. Her home was always open to friends, which she would greet with, "Tell me what's new with you". Pat will be remembered for her strength and commitment to her family. As she would always say at the end of visit, "Love you more!"
