Obituary

Punchita Saxon entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 in Savannah, GA. She was born to the late Nathaniel Saxon and Loddie Mae Williams on April 1, 1960. She was the granddaughter of the late Winston and Carrie Carn and the late Ben and Flossie Saxon. Punchita was raised in Dorchester, SC. She joined St. Daniel UM Church at an early age and later joined the Stars of Faith Church group. Punchita was educated in the Dorchester County Public School system. After graduating, she began working as an Office Administrator at the Charleston Mental Health Department for several years. She was proceeded in death by her parents Nathaniel Saxon and Loddie Mae Williams, two brothers Paul and Douglas Saxon, one grandson Kenston Young, and several aunts and uncles. Punchita leaves to morn and cherish her precious memories are her daughter: Tomeka (Kent) Saxon-Young of Hinesville, GA; two grandchildren Douglas M. Saxon and Kendallyn Young of Hinesville, GA; two brothers John Lodkey and Andra (Christianna)Saxon; two sisters Janie Ross and Benzenia Saxon all of Dorchester, SC, her godson Lenart Stewart, a best friend Renee Simmons, and a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
