Mrs. Sarah L. Dantzler, daughter of the late Mr. Heyward Mitchell, Sr., and Mrs. Margaret T. Middleton Mitchell, was born on July 8, 1939, in Summerville, SC. On Saturday, June 4, 2022, she peacefully entered into eternal rest at 3:55 pm, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Sarah was educated in the Dorchester County School System. She retired from Coastal Center, after 30 years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of the New Ashley Baptist Church, where she served as a member of the Senior choir until her health failed. She was wed in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Arnold Dantzler, who preceded her in death. Sarah was the family matriarch, and was known for the love she had for her family and friends. Some of her famous dishes were collards, Mac n' Cheese, corned beef and cabbage, and most of all, her pound cake, and love of butter pecan ice cream. Those who will continue to celebrate her life are: cherished nephews: Garret (Romena) Mitchell,  of Odenton, Maryland; Gregory (Leatrice) Mitchell, of Charleston, SC, whom she loved as her own; three step children: Jade (Raymond) Fisher-Perkins, Arnold Zan Dantzler, and Barbra D. Baylock (Apostle Julius); three sisters: Mrs. Florence Lambright of Ridgeville, SC; Mrs. Margaret Price (Deacon Evans) of Summerville, SC; Mrs. Judy Lee (Morris) of North Charleston, SC; one brother, Woodrow Reid (Joann) of Hollywood, SC; three sisters in-law: Mrs. Gwendolyn Mitchell, of San Francisco, CA; Mrs. Barbra Mitchell of Summerville, SC, and Mrs. Evelyn Mitchell, of North Charleston, SC;  a special cousin, Lucile Brown, of Lincolnville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great-grands and step-grands. A special "Thank You" goes to Sarah's caregivers. Sarah, We will always love and cherish you for the rest of our lives.. We love you!!! The family
