It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Verdell Fields of Summerville, SC who entered into eternal rest on May 13, 2021. She  was born January 25, 1932.

Verdell was married to the late George Fields, Jr. and was predeceased by her parents, husband, and brother James Chisolm. Her loving heart, generous spirit, and wise counsel will always be remembered by her daughter Alice, grandchildren Ebony (Otto) and Amber (Xanthia), great grandchildren Devon, Olivia, Alicia, and Franklin, sister Anna Rebecca Jenkins, two stepdaughters Joyce Snipes and Georgieanna Thomas, adopted daughter Mia Brower and adopted granddaughter Megan Chalkey, sisters-in-law Mary Chisolm, Bessie Mae Simmons and Lucretia Norton, brothers-in-law John and Leroy Fields, special friends Eliza Foy and Dorothy Mayes, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
