Anthony Jones

Mr. Anthony Loranzo Jones, the son of Irene W. Jones and the late Reverend Leroy Jones, was born February 19, 1954, in Ladson, SC. Anthony accepted Christ and attended Wesley United Methodist Church. He was active in the ministries of the church, serving as a Lay Leader, Class Leader, Sunday School Teacher and was very active with the United Methodist Men. Anthony attended Bonds Wilson High School and graduated from R. B. Stall High School. While attending Stall, he stood out athletically and proved to be quite an outstanding shooting guard. After graduating from high school Anthony joined the United States Army and he received many honors while serving our country. He was preceded in death by his father, Reverend William Jones; stepmother, Ruby Jones; brother, James Leroy Jones; sister, Diane and his mother-in-law, Mabel E. Tyler. Anthony entered eternal rest on February 1, 2022. Anthony leaves to mourn, his faithful and loving wife, Sheron; his daughters, Natasha (Jasen) of Rochester, NY, and Shawna of Ladson; his stepchildren, Tomingo of Las Vegas, and Phillip Jr. of Georgia. Anthony was a very loving father, and he taught his children how to be strong, to honor their name, and to have pride in everything they did. He also leaves to mourn his memories, six grandchildren; his mother, Irene W. Jones of Ladson; his siblings, Reverend Clayton (Gail), Reverend Solomon (Ann), Reverend Alfonza (Frances), Brenda, Reverend Albert (Carolyn), Vella, William, Barbara, Annette, Reverend Maurice (Maryln), Eric, Gary (Barbette), Tina (Stanley), Karen, and Sheila (Bill); two aunts, Ethel and Francine; two uncles, Wallace and James and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
