Reverend Clarence Earl Miller was born on September 22, 1950 to the late Loretta (Ray) McCoy and late L.V. Miller in Brenham, TX. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969. Shortly after graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Forces. During this time, he met his wife Harriet (Moorer) Miller and they were wed on September 8, 1984. After serving twenty years in the United Air Force he retired and moved to Charleston, South Carolina for a few years before moving to Summerville, South Carolina where he resided until death. During this time, he began working for Charleston County Fleet Operations as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. He stayed with Charleston County until his retirement. In 2001 he entered the ministry for the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. He pastored at the following churches Larry Temple (North Charleston, SC), Canaan Fair (Williston, SC), and Blunt Chapel (Varnville, SC) before being released on medical leave. Reverend Miller is survived by his wife Harriet C. Miller, daughter Catherine E. McKoy (Marshall), stepson Antonio D. Moorer (Natasha), one sister Cynthia B. Malveaux (Louis), and two brothers Alfred J. Bell, and Jacques Bell, seven grandchildren Malik, Jeremiah, Shadasia, Taniya, Antonio Jr., Heaven and Daylen, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members that were loved by him.
