Daniel “Dan” Evan was born February 2,1926 in Dorchester County to the late Edward and Rosa Bell Pinkney Evans Sr. Tuesday evening May 5, 2020 Daniel received God’s private call to come home.
He joined Canaan-Sand Hill United Methodist Church and was an active member of the United Methodist Man for over sixty years. He was a Pass Master of Ashley Lodge 636. He attended school in Dorchester County. Later entered the United States Navy and employed at Charleston Air force base.
He was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Corrine Campbell Evans. From this union they raised two children Carolyn Williams and Darnne (Lunell) Green.
He leaves to cherish his members Ernest Rob (Patricia) Williams, Moneat Williams, Damika (Jerome) Dewees, Sabrina Spell, Demorrick Green, Sha’dasha Dantzler. Fifteen great-grandchildren. One sister Daisy B. Limehouse, two sister-in-law, Vernell Evans and Thomasener Dantzler. Six siblings preceded him in death four brothers and two sisters. A very dedicated nephew Nathaniel Evans. A very dedicated niece Priscilla E. Hutchinson. A host of other nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
The CDC advises limiting gatherings to 10 people or less. Public viewings will follow this recommendation. No more than ten people at a time will be allowed in the funeral home for viewing. We are asking our families to help us communicate this to close friends and acquaintances.
