Ernest Ivory Cook was born to the late Benjamin and Daisy Mae Cook Sr. Ernest was born on September 17, 1949 in Summerville SC where he lived his full life; Ernest attended the public
schools of Dorchester County. To provide for his family Ernest started and mastered his careers as a HVAC Tech. To his family and friends Ernest was affectionally known as Big E, Piggy, Uncle Skinny, and Bullet. To know Ernest was to love him. On March 1, 2022, Ernest transition to his heavenly home. He was greeted by those who have longed to see him once more, his parents Benjamin and Daisy Cook, his brothers Allen (Mary) Cook, Carol (Grace) Cook, Leon (Cynthia) Cook, and Herbert (Sandra) Cook and sisters
Gloria (Alonzo) Pinckney, and Diane (Levi) Williams. Those left to cherish Ernest’s memories here on earth, his wife Florine Cook, son Troy (Lisa) Cook, Daughters Jevet Cook-Jimmy Chavis, and Darlene (Christopher “Kim”) Broomfield. Siblings Shirley (David)Cordes, Dottie (Tim) Lincoln, Susan Cook, Alleen (Jonathan) Raimey, and
Jenny (Herkey) Smalls. Grandchildren Brandon Cook (Jevet), Donovon, Dahjaii, and Delaine Cook (Troy), and Aiden Broomfield (Darlene), a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and
friends who will truly miss his big personality.
