Evernetha Banister

On January 9, 2022, Evernetha Banister answered the master’s Call. Evernetha was born on July 5, 1935, to the late Mr. Johnie and Minda Nelson. She grew up in Greeleyville, SC. She received her education in the Williamsburg County School System. She married her sweetheart the late Mr. George Banister and to this union twelve children were born. Five of her children were raise by her parents Johnnie and Minda Nelson and the other seven were raised by her and George. After marriage they moved to Givhans, SC and resided there for over fifty years. In her younger years, she worked in a local hospital in Charleston, SC.Evernetha was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five brothers; three children, James Nelson, Johnnie Nelson, and Minnie McFadden; two grandsons, Troy Banister and Jerry McFadden. Those left to cherish her love and memories, children, Lydell McCay, Sam Mack, Loretta Tillman, Jerry Tillman, David (Martina)Banister, Alnetha Banister Snipes (Special Friend, Clayton), George (Ann) Banister, Lamar “Bubba” (Alene) Banister, Elizah Banister, Michael (Michelle) Banister, Marlon (Stacy) Banister; twenty grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren, and a dear friend Mary Oliver.
