Mr. Gerald Singleton was born on December 26, 1954 in Charleston, SC to Victoria Brown Waites and the late Andrew Bryant. He entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, May 09th 2024.

Gerald attended Charleston County public schools and was a graduate of Burke High School. He was an entrepreneur of real estate and retired as a Correctional officer with 20 years of service. He also held a variety of other jobs.

Gerald was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He lived a full and vibrant life from beginning to end and touched the lives of many people along the way. Gerald enjoyed shooting pool, going bowling, working in the yard, watching wrestling, listening to music, and various other household projects. Gerald was an active member of the Church House of Ministries World Wide in Ladson, SC, where he served as an Usher. Gerald is at peace and rejoicing in his new heavenly home.

He was preceded in death by his sister Vera Whitten and a brother Michael Waites

The memory of Gerald will be cherished by his loving wife of 40 years Sylvia W. Singleton. One daughter Shalaya A. Singleton (Grant), two sons Gerald A. Singleton and Gerard A. Singleton. Two Grandchildren Ariana Coleman and Laylani Singleton. Siblings; Lithronia Hargwood, Beverly Weems (Anthony), Carlton Waites (Cassandra), and Victoria Katrina Waites. Sisters in law; Betty Richardson (Romeo), Leola White, and Corliss Waites.

He will also be cherished by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends
