Larry Brooks

Larry Bernard Brooks, son of the late Charlie Brooks and LeeGracelyn (Washington) Brooks, was born April 16, 1957 in Wiggins, SC.  He attended Ruffin High School where he played sports as an All-American player.  He graduated from Ruffin High School in 1974 and he later went to serve in the United States Army active duty from 1974-1977, and National Guard Reserves for several years. On Saturday, May 28, 2022, Larry transitioned into eternal rest; he was preceded in death by his brothers Rodney J.W. Brooks and George A. Brooks.  He is survived by his children Marlarrie Brooks Smalls, Brian Brooks, Elizabeth Brooks & Raynard Kennedy. He leaves to cherish fond memories with his loving siblings, Eva Brooks, Rochelle Brooks, Fay Brooks (Reggie) Battle, Catherine Brooks, Mildred Brooks, Sharon Brooks (James) Bell, & Shawna Brooks, 11 grandkids, one special aunt Sandra Middleton, one special niece Lencola Brooks (Jeffrey) Mitchell, a host of nieces, nephews & cousins.
