Pauline graduated from Walker High School, Long County School System. She married Isaiah Oxendine on August 13, 1955, who preceded her in death. She was employed by Army Air Force Exchange System (AAFES), Fort Stewart, Georgia for eighteen years where she received many achievement awards, recognitions and honors. At an early age, she joined Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church (Groveland Community) in Pembroke, Georgia. She served on the Usher Board, Nurse’s Aide, and Culinary Ministries. After moving to Durham, North Carolina in 2004, she became a faithful member of Victorious Praise Fellowship Church of God in Christ for seventeen years, where she was the senior mother on the Mother’s Board. In 2021 she moved to Ridgeville, South Carolina where she briefly attended Greater New Bethel Sounds of Praise Fellowship Ministries in Jedburg, South Carolina. Leaving to cherish her memories are her five children: Marilyn Ash of Durham, North Carolina; Wanda Cohens of Savannah, Georgia; Narvis Green (Thurman) of Ridgeville, South Carolina; Antionette Cruz (Luis) of Chester, Virginia; and Isaiah Oxendine, Jr. (Lakiesha) of Hewitt, Texas; eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
