Mr. Rashawn Champaigne was born to the late Andrew Fraser and Cynthia James on May 29th, 1980, and was raised by Marvin James. Shawn was raised in Charleston and attended Charleston County School District. Rashawn was a very loving, caring, family-oriented man. Early in life Rashawn was blessed with three beautiful children. His children were his pride and joy. He married the love of his life in 2012.He was a hardworking provider that always looked out for others. One of his biggest achievements in his career was becoming a member of the International Longshoremen's Association Local Chapter 1422. Rashawn had a passion for cooking, loved playing Madden, traveling, hanging out with his friends, and most of all his beloved football teams: the Chicago Bears and the Georgia Bulldogs. Rashawn will truly be missed; he was loved by many and made beautiful memories with almost everyone he encountered. He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife, Shante; his children Shardnay Richardson, Davon Richardson, Rashawn Champaigne Jr., Namya Lary, and Alissa Felder; one grandchild Milanni Lary who he loved and adored and called “Jellybean;” his mother Cynthia (Marvin) James; siblings: Marvin (Kyiesha) Champaigne, Marvetta Champaigne, and Corey James; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, a best friend- Corey (C-Nel) Nelson, and a group of friends that he called his family. # NoBeef.
