Wallace E. Oldham III was born on October 26, 1938, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina to proud parents, Wallace Oldham Jr. and Charlie Mae Norwood. He passed away on June 3, 2023, in Summerville, South Carolina. Wallace was a bright student and exceptional athlete at Lincoln High School in Chapel Hill. He later moved to Duchess County, NY, where he attended Duchess
County Community College and went on to have a distinguished 30-year career in law enforcement. In 1992, he retired and moved to Summerville, South Carolina, where he lived with his beloved wife and family. Wallace is survived by his loving wife, Edith Oldham, two sisters (Donna and Nadine), seven children (Denise, Wallace IV, Bernard, Valerie, Marcus, Matthew, and Page), six grandchildren (Erika, Whitney, Wallace V, Malcolm, Nicholas, and Shairee), and seven great-grandchildren (Whitney, Wallace VI, London, Marley, Cassius, Ari, and Zora). His daughter Sheila predeceased him in 1962. He will be remembered fondly by his many nieces, nephews, daughter-in-law’s, son-in-law’s, other relatives, friends, and his special cousin Dee-Dee.
