William Arthur Harris was born September 17, 1956 to Willie Harris and Shirley Harris in Erie, PA. 
William "Ticky" Harris attended Erie County schools and he graduated from Technical Memorial High School.  He joined the United States Navy in 1975, acquired a degree in Electronics from Neilsen Electronics and also Aircraft Assembly from Trident Tech. 
He loved to tell his grandchildren and children stories, cooking, telling jokes, and music.  At a early age he joined Bethlehem Temple Apostlistic Church where he sang in the choir and played the piano ,saxophone, organ and flute . He loved attending church and made sure his siblings were nurtured in Christ and Sunday school .He taught them many songs an held choir rehearsal with his siblings at home and placed them in Easter  and Christmas plays.  He always made sure his little sis Dede’s Afro puff was on point for church .  He met the love of his life Heddie Harris and started his new life. 
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Heddie Harris ,mother Shirley Harris and sister Adrianna Calline Harris .  

On Leaves to cherish  his children: Lavell Harris, Sharonda Harris, and Shawntae Harris.
Grandchildren: Dominique West Jr., Shasiiya Evans, Shawnterriah Geddis, Alex Gourdine Jr.,Teranajah Geddis, and Lavell Harris Jr.
Mother: May Harris, father Pastor Willie Harris (Betty) ; 
sisters ,Deborah Harris of Rochester , Ny; Mary Harris of Erie Pa , Sandra Keys(Charles), Deidre Mclaurin(Walter) of Collins ,Mississippi. Brothers :Steven Harris(Connie) Edward Harris (Kena) of Erie Pa .Special cousins Larry Manus and Danny Harris.A host of nieces,  nephews , other relatives , and friends.
